WHAT IS THE ALLERGY & ASTHMA BIOREPOSITORY?
The Allergy and Asthma Biorepository is a confidential list of people with allergies and asthma, who are willing to donate a blood sample and provide health information for scientific research. Donated samples and personal and family health information are used by scientists in the laboratory and in analysis to help us better understand the causes and long term health effects of allergies, asthma and immune-mediated diseases, as well as to explore better treatment options that can be used by physicians in patient care. All of the information gathered is kept confidential, and samples and health information used by scientists are coded with a number, not your name.
WHAT ARE BRI SCIENTISTS STUDYING?
Researchers are working with allergy and asthma biomarkers to better understand the immune response that leads to allergic reaction, monitor disease progression and focus new allergy vaccine therapies on the portions of the allergen molecule that provoke immune response.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
We are currently enrolling children of all ages and adults with physician diagnosed food and environmental allergies. We are especially looking for people with a history of severe allergies and anaphylaxis.

We are also looking for family members of all ages who do not have allergies, asthma or another immune-mediated or autoimmune disease, to join our Healthy Volunteer Registry.
